Support Our Mission

In March of 2019, Cindy and Erin founded the idea of uniting Adopted Folks, Donor Conceived Persons, Late Discovery Adoptees, and NPEs to collectively heal from our shared experiences. Despite lacking any prior event planning experience, we wholeheartedly embraced the challenge and organized our inaugural Jersey Shore Round Table Retreat in October 2019. Our vision was to establish a non-profit organization, but we were committed to proceeding thoughtfully and deliberately.

Since our inception in 2019, we have brought together over three hundred individuals to find solace and support within our community. While this number may appear modest to some, for the 300-plus individuals who have entrusted us, the impact has been immeasurable and profound.

As we began discussing the transition to non-profit status, the onset of the pandemic brought the world to a standstill. Nevertheless, we persisted, adhering to the principles of a non-profit while operating as an LLC. Throughout this period, we refrained from taking any salaries, firmly believing that our ultimate path lay in becoming a non-profit entity. In 2022, we initiated the formal process, expanding our board to include Annie Persico, and received the momentous news on March 8, 2023, of our approval. Throughout our journey, we have been entirely self-sustaining, relying on contributions from attendees and frequently dipping into our own pockets to ensure the quality of our retreats.

As a recognized 501c3 organization, with EIN number 92-2753370, your tax-deductible donations can play a pivotal role in extending equitable opportunities to those facing financial hardships, enabling them to participate in our retreats. By supporting our mission, you have the power to transform lives. All contributions are allocated directly towards retreat-related expenses, peer-to-peer support, and scholarships. We proudly maintain our grassroots ethos, with no member of the board ever receiving compensation for their services.
